All Episodes of Extreme Ghostbusters Now Streaming On Tubi!

The supernaturally spectacular fan favorite animated series, The Real Ghostbusters, has moved around quite a bit recently and finally landed on Tubi this week. Meanwhile, it's joined by its often overlooked follow up, Extreme Ghostbusters!
As of this week, fans can catch the animated series that went just as fast as it came in its entirety (40 episodes) on the streaming platform.
While maybe not as revered as its predecessor, Extreme Ghostbusters took its audience on a slightly darker, spookier, and edgier paranormal adventure while still staying true to its underlying comedic roots.
The show sees the Ghostbusters out of business, as the paranormal turbulence in New York has once again trickled away to nothing. Egon remains in the firehouse with his live-in experiment, Slimer, and teaches parapsychology at Columbia University. When an ancient evil is awakened beneath the city and the slime starts to rise, Egon recruits four fresh busters (Kylie, Eduardo, Roland, and Garrett) to strap on newly designed Proton Packs and face off against the persistent paranormal problem.
Extreme Ghostbusters also had a pretty packed tie in toy line from Trendmasters which the show was made as a way to help promote. Additionally, the extreme team has spawned video games, as well as made appearances across other media such as the IDW Ghostbusters comic series.
Regardless of its new tech, refueled mission, up to date and edgy animation as well as incredibly lore driven storylines, it often falls short of fan admiration next to The Real Ghostbusters. However, as time goes on it continues to amass a cult following and new appreciation.
Revisiting both The Real Ghostbusters as well as Extreme Ghostbusters feels like an appropriate refresher ahead of the release of next year's Ghostbusters: Night Shift on Netflix!
