Coca-Cola has it's own unique relationship with Ghostbusters. Namely the fact that Coca-Cola essentially owned Columbia Pictures during production of the first Ghostbusters film in 1984, leading to loads of varying film tie-ins!

Shortly after the release of Ghostbusters II in June of 1989, Hi-C's Ecto-Cooler would begin haunting grocery store shelves!

Meanwhile, in the year 2026, fans are often left asking, where is the Ecto-Cooler?! With visible vocal demand from masses online just about anytime Hi-C makes a social media post.

Now, fans may have a singular secret source of Ecto-Cooler reserves thanks to the World of Coca-Cola Museum in Atlanta, Georgia.

Just this month, a member of the community posted a cryptic image of themselves at the museum, serving up what appeared to be a cup of Ecto-Cooler from a Coke Freesytle machine within the museum. However, the photo was posted without much context or responses to questions from other members in the community. As such, many were convinced it was an elaborate photoshop.

However, the popular social media movement, Resurrect Ecto-Cooler wasn't taking the mystery laying down. We all wanted answers! So, the superstars of the supernatural, the Atlanta Ghostbusters stepped up to the plate!

Members Joe Ricciardelli, TJ Scheitler and Cara Caravan (Slimer), packed up the group and headed to the World of Coca-Cola to investigate these recent strange happenings and Ecto reports! What they found, was that it was all true!

Ecto-Cooler CAN be served in the Freestyle machines found at the Atlanta museum. Although, you'll have to know the secret to busting into the hidden menu vault!

What We Know:

- Hi-C Ecto-Cooler IS served in select Coke Freestyle machines in the museum's tasting room.

- To unlock the secret menu vault, you'll need to draw a rounded "W" shape via the on screen code pad.

In the end, we had to ask the team, how does it taste?! Joe, Atlanta Ghostbusters member and self proclaimed Ecto-Cooler connoisseur, has had every iteration of the supernatural sip that's been released to date! From the original, the 2016 release, all the way up to the limited handout during the Ghostbusters: Afterlife premier. So how does the sample at the Coca-Cola museum hold up? "We all liked the flavor, even the kid who was too young to remember it when it was last mass produced.", says Joe.

So what does this all mean? Is Coke planning a potential Ecto-Cooler revival in the future and are taste testing the age old recipe? Or simply honoring a spirited corner of its past? As it stands, there are several other mentions and instances of Ecto-Cooler manifesting itself through different portions of the museum.

We've reached out to the World of Coca-Cola press team for comments, and will report back with more information as it's received! Check out some of the photos from the Atlanta Ghostbusters Ecto-Cooler investigation down below!
