The Annecy International Animation Film Festival is this coming week, June 21-27. Sony Pictures Animation will be in attendance with Netflix to present an industry panel, set to feature a first look at the latest entry into the Ghostbusters animated universe, Ghostbusters: Night Shift!
Since its initial, announcement, few projects have been more anticipated than the Ghostbusters animated series set to release at Netflix. Just recently, the Night Shift presentation has officially been added to the Annecy schedule, featuring Jason Reitman, Gil Kenan, Elliott Kalan and Ben Hibon.

The creative team will be taking to the stage and kicking off the Netflix panel at 3:30pm local time on Wednesday, June 24 to reveal the first in depth, behind the scenes look at the supernatural animated series currently in development.
Meanwhile, that's not all! It's been found that the team will also be participating in a public signing open to all, not just industry attendees! Before the official Netflix panel kicks off, fans local to France, and others willing to travel have to opportunity to attend a signing at 1:30 local time.
This will be our first major update following the series official title announcement during this past month's Ghostbusters Day celebration in New York courtesy of Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan.

It's worth noting, while things are continuing to heat up on the animated series front ahead of the show's 2027 release, it still may be some time before fans get a first look. Last year, Netflix gave the audience a sneak peek at some of the early concept art and world building they have in mind for the series, although those still haven't made their way online.
Not long after Netflix's initial showcase, Flying Bark Studios took to social media to expressed that they were, "honored to be continuing to develop the Ghostbusters series for Sony and Netflix." With Netflix's Dominique Bazay describing it as, "Ghostbusters like you've never seen it!"
While it should be taken with a grain of salt, an industry insider has recently perpetuated the rumor that the series may feature the original Ghostbusters, set in the 90's during Walter Peck's first mayoral run.
The latest animated adventure in the Ghostbusters franchise is being developed by Netflix and Flying Bark Studio who recently released the Stranger Things: Tales From 85 series, as well as with Jason Reitman, Gil Kenan, and show runner Elliot Kalan.
