Sony Taps Kris Pearn To Direct Ghostbusters Animated Film For Netflix!

In a tale that seems to have been rolling since 2009, it seems new life has been breathed into the idea of a Ghostbusters animated film! Via Deadline, Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2 director Kris Pearn will head the project for Sony Pictures Animation for a new Ghostbusters Animated film exclusive to Netflix! This is of course alongside the already in production animated series that will also see Netflix in the hopeful near future. Though plot details are being kept under wraps, sources close to the production believe this could do for Ghostbusters what Into The Spider-Verse has some for the Spider-Man franchise. While there have been whispers of an animated Ghostbusters film as far back as 2009 from director, Ivan Reitman, we also saw concept art leaked of a cancelled animated film from 2016 that would have explored the world of Ghostbusters from the point of view of the ghosts!
